INTERIM ORDERS REPRESENTATION
We advise and represent clients in relation to Interim Orders HEarings and Interim Measures Hearings before various regulatory bodies.
What is an interim orders hearing?
An interim orders hearing is held where there are concerns about the suitability of a registered, chartered or licensed individual to practise their chosen profession during an investigation into alleged misconduct, ill-health, or incompetence. Some interim orders are called interim measures.
What orders can an Interim Orders Panel make?
An Interim Orders Panel can make no order, impose conditions (or, in some cases, agree undertakings), or suspend the individual’s registration, licence, or chartered status, pending further steps being taken.
Do Interim Orders Panels Determine Facts?
The decision is based on the seriousness of the allegation and the weight of the evidence. The decision is considered a neutral act and the interim hearing is seldom a fact-finding exercise.
